Our Vision:
We envision an oral health system of care in which:
1. Families, patients and providers are knowledgeable about and involved in improving oral health for Utah residents, including people with special needs;
2. Treatment is accessible, timely, affordable, of high quality and integrated into the overall health and well-being of the patient;
3. Prevention is emphasized, and
4. The oral health needs of families, patients and providers are met.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to assure the oral health of Utah residents through:
1. Increasing community awareness of the oral health needs in the state;

2. Promoting oral health education and prevention, and
​
3. Improving access to oral health care services.

How we achieve our mission:
Our mission is achieved by:
1. Building links and partnerships;
2. Communicating with policy makers;
3. Communicating with the public;
4. Building community capacity;
5. Support and help implement interventions targeting vulnerable populations such as low-income children and adults and individuals with special needs, and
6. Support and help implement preventive interventions such as fluoridation, dental sealants, fluoride varnish, and early dental visits.
